SINCE 1967 Fairfield began in 1967, establishing a Lotus Franchise based in Leigh-on-Sea in Essex. Six years on, in 1973 Fairfield chose to become exclusively a BMW Dealer. In 1981 Fairfield’s current Head of Business, Peter Dodson, joined the company as an Accounts Clerk and in 1986 Fairfield BMW relocated to Bellhouse Lane, Leigh on Sea. Also, within that year, Mike Styles the current owner of Fairfield was employed as the Sales Manager. In 1990, the Fairfield Bodyshop opened; a BMW approved accident repair centre. The original Fairfield MINI showroom was opened in 2001 and was one of the first standalone MINI operations in the Country. Fairfield moved to their current site located on Arterial Road, Leigh-on-Sea in 1997 and in 2000 Fairfield scooped a prestigious award by winning BMW Dealer of the Year. After extensive refurbishment at the BMW site in 2013, Fairfield opened the doors of its new state-of-the-art MINI Dealership, in 2015, located next door to BMW. Fairfield’s success over the years has seen them win numerous awards for both Brands, culminating in 2018 by being nominated for and winning: BMW Retail Sales Retailer of the Year, MINI Aftersales Retailer of the Year, MINI Sales Regional Retailer of the Year, BMW Independent Retailer of the Year in 2019 and Peter Dodson won Head of Business of the Year.
